All of the SEP staff are unpaid volunteers. Many have been volunteering on camp for many summers - most go because they enjoy the atmosphere, they want to help achieve its objectives and also because they witness first-hand the difference it makes in young people's lives.

What skills/qualifications are required?

Most importantly, a serving attitude that is not afraid of hard work and care for young people.

Current qualifications in sports/activities for relevant areas.

Staff serve as activity tutors, service area personnel or as dorm leaders working with groups of up to 15 young people.

Where will I stay?

There are a limited number of caravans available and shared large marquees for single staff.

Most staff bring their own caravan/tents.

Families are welcome - we have a limited number of crèche/mini-camp places available for children of staff members .

How much does it cost?

Staff are requested to make a small donation to cover costs such as food, admin, etc.
